IF: The Blues

This came straight out of my sketchbook... I was gonna choose one to do a bigger illustration, but eventually I decided to just scan everything, color it and call it a day. Believe me, this is just a small list of things that can really give me the blues.

Hey, you have a really solid style, cute but not kitschy, with a certain japanese-like elegance and simplicity. Nice piece!

And yeah, I was using pretty thick tracing paper, or transprency paper - I don´t really know what the proper description for this is, but it is especially made for ink drawing.

Greetings,
Frederik

... and my god, the crying toilet is ace!

Non-living things having faces and emotion seems a pretty asian thing to me - like when batteries cry when they are treated wrong or something.

To Frederik:
you probably use design vellum? I like to use that too!

Thanks for your kind comment! I do draw faces on a lot of things... it just never occurs to me that it might be an Asian thing... I think you are right about that!! Haha! :)

Your list of things that give the blues has made me smile. I love the toilet breaking down, that's one of my household jobs, and it's never fun.
