This was actually done more than a year ago, but I didn't take it back from the studio until today. Ceramic artist Jenny Mendes came to our work and gave us a workshop. This is one of the pieces I did during that workshop. (I am hoping to turn one or some of the characters into 3D ceramic pieces in the future.)

Señor Elefante

This is just part of a little project I gave myself starting a couple of weeks ago. At first I thought I am going to do a whole Spanish alphabet animal chart, but I am not sure if every alphabet has an animal under it? (Maybe you guys can help me figure it out.) But at least I can do a Chinese zodiac chart with only 12 animals... (lazy me... bad bad...)

So far, I've got:

El Buey
El Tigre
El Caballo

Some of them are done; some are only in sketch form.
I will add them to my blog little by little on my own pace.

And tonight I turned Señor Elefante into a real painting. It was fun to do.
(It's 6" by 6".)

Playing with paint tonight... These are fun to do, because I have no idea how they are going to turn out until I am done. Plus they are on paper so I feel less pressure.

Another painting for Art Unleashed

Since there is still time, I did another little 6" x 6" art to donate to this year's Art Unleashed.

I finally got a chance to work on something for this year's Art Unleashed . This one is going to be donated for the silent auction which benefits The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
