Shop Update: Button Button
Do you like vintage buttons? I do! They are like candies to me especially those that come in soft cotton candy colors!!! I just can't resist them. So I've decided to doodle up some vintage style buttons and make them into... buttons. Button Button... sounds funny. Haha! :)
Each pack comes with 6 designs. Just added in my shop.

New Print: Yarn Hair
Just added this new print into my shop. It's from an old doodle that I did in year 2008 for Illustration Friday. It's for all knitting lovers out there; are you one of them?. :)

Shop Update: Espresso Ring
Just added in the shop. As usual, with this setting, you can pick a different design instead of the espresso maker.
WOOHOO!!!!!!
Tonight is the night for Art Unleashed, an auction event which benefits the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. As usual, there were so many great artworks, and many many people showed up to support this cause. I was so happy to see Mr. Owl finished with a $250 winning bid; I couldn't believe my eyes! Little animals thank you, nice buyer! :)
Also here is the awesome piece of art that I won tonight. It's made by my friend/co-worker/one of my favorite artists, Dick Daniels. His name is Square Nose. Isn't he great?!

New Little Wooden Brooches
I just created bunch of these little wooden brooches because I am making stuff for three art fairs that are coming in October and November (insert the why-do-I-do-this-to-myself face here). Anyhoo, I really like these sweet little guys; they turned out really darling. They are perfect for the coming fall season and are more affordable because they are a little less time-consuming for me to make. Check them out in my shop, will you? :)

Mr. Owl for Art Unleashed 2010
For this year's Art Unleashed. This was originally a print for an Etsy order. It came out a little too light, but otherwise fine. I didn't want to waste it, so I doodled on top with pencil and then collaged a baret and a mustache. Now the little owl is all grown up.
Art unleashed is a yearly silent auction event, and all the proceed goes to help the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. This year's event will be on next Friday. Come and bid on some artworks if you are in town. Helping animals feels good! :)

Shop Update: Love Angel Plushes
Finally I finished all the angels and they are now in my shop. They all come with two 1" color coordinated wearable badges, and each has a label stamped and signed by me on the back.

Shop Update: Hat Peeps Nacklace
I made a necklace featuring the characters from my "Hat Peeps" print, which is one of my peprsonal favorite. It comes with 5 buttons. Just listed in my shop.
Shop Update
I just added two Happy Poppie necklaces in my shop. The suede leather cord is adjustable from 16" to 18", so it's a short necklace and really noticeable when you wear it. I wore it to work today and my co-workers loved it! :)

A New Member In My House
My piano Mr. Gulbransen is in the house! I found him over the weekend after weeks of searching on Craigslist for a suitable one, and he is just right for me! The moving costs more than the piano and I am now completely broke for this month, but it's all worth it. The mover is also a master tuner said he is in a real good shape, only needs some minor fixing before the tuning, which will be done this week. : )

Another Thing I want to Share
Here is the sneak preview of the Love Angel dolls. I thought I could finish sewing all the dolls this weekend, but I spent all my time shopping for craft materials, going to church, making rings, go to some stranger's house and checking out the piano they listed on Craig's List (and I bought it!), and now I have to go cook dinner... Alas, if only there is someone who can do all my household chores for me. There is never enough time.
12 more dolls to sew (why do I do this to myself?)... Hopefully I can finish them soon.
Shop Update: Happy Poppie Interchangeable Ring and Doodle Badge
Finally!!! I don't know how many trials and errors (and $$) I have gone through, but I finally got a right combination that seems to make this work. When I was making rings earlier, I told my friend that I wanted to try and see if I can make the image area interchangeable so the buyers can get a better deal out of this. And I think I got it. I name it Happy Poppie Ring, don't know why, it just sort of popped up in my head while I was driving...
They are colorful and make me happy!

YoYo Doodle Ring is now in my shop
Finally, my newest baby, YoYo Doodle Ring, is in the shop! The designs include some of the most popular doodles from the Happy Stampies collection, as well as some brand new ones which are more sophisticated. They are printed professionally by Spoonflower and then made into buttons by hand. I want you to be able to pick your own design and settings; it's more fun that way! Please see my shop for details.
PS: Yesterday I wore the prototype ring (the one in the photo above) to my dental appointment, and I got a couple of ladies asking me where I got my ring... I was so glad! I am sure when you wear it you will get lots of compliments, too. And if you like it, would you help me spread the words, too? Thank you so much! Smooches! : )
