Sake Bottles and Tea Cup

2 Sake Bottles

I drew on 2 little sake bottles/bud vases and a tea cup over the weekend. I had no idea that it would take me a whole afternoon and into the evening just to finish these little guys. I like the blue color a lot; it reminds me of the traditional blue and white porcelain. Also this time I signed my name in Chinese; the character is pronounced "Chia" (which is my official name) and it means "home". : )

These are just brilliant! And yes, the very first thing I thought of was my mom's bleu & white dishes :D

Curious to know, what did you use to draw on these and did you have to 'bake' them afterward to make the designs permanent?

Thanks friends for all your kind comments!

As for what I used to draw, I used ceramic pens which you should be able to get at your local craft stores. In general, you need to wait for at least 24 hours and then bake it to make it permanent. (Please read the instruction that comes with your pen.) Hope this helps. Thanks! :)
