Tagged: My Top 25 Favorite Movies

I was tagged almost 2 weeks ago by sweet and very talented Kelly to post about my top 25 favorite movies. I told Kelly that I am not an avid movie goer at all, and I go to the theater about twice a year, so I might have a hard time to come up with 25 movies. But actually, it was easier than I thought (as a matter of fact, I even had to eliminate a couple of movies from my list). I don't necessarily remember the stories in all these movies, but they are definitely the ones that pop in my head right away. So here they are, in alphabetical order:

After Life
Akira Kurosawa's Dreams
Amelie
Castle In The Sky
Chocolat
Cinema Paradiso
Fireworks
Frida
Grave of the Fireflies
Hero
Il Postino
Kiki's Delivery Service
Kikujiro
Love Actually
My Neighbor Totoro
Nacho Libre
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Princess Mononoke
Shall We Dance (Japanese Version)
Spirited Away
That's the Way I Like It
The Road Home
Under The Tuscan Sun
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Woman On Top

Nice list and way to to go all out and gather up all the images and make a nice presentation of them.

Looks like you are also a fan of Hayao Miyazaki's movies - they are so wonderful. Cracked me up to see Nacho Libre in the mix. :)

I'm glad I don't own a gun becasue I would have killed myself in spirited away...Horrible horrible movie.

I'd like to know what's so horrible about Spirited Away? Just curious!

The characters were boring, distant, and hollow. Too many long drawnout sequences that were unnecessary........Chihiro's voice............
Total dry spells in dialogue and story line. I get the whole greed love laziness thing, but I just really hated this movie. Not my thing. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but the editors could have cut a lot out of that movie in my humble "disneyfied" view. Nice drawing, but I cringe whenever I think about that movie....

Thanks! I see your point. I like that movie...just personal preference.
And also thanks for that website. I have been checking out that site before and there are indeed a lot of amazing works.

I love Nacho Libre, Spirited Away, and Castle in the Sky as well! Oh by the way, your mom is totally talented; I love that quilted piece! I see where you get all your mad skills! :)

Oh, I forgot to answer your questions on my blog. I watched Clay Pigeons. I had seen parts of it before, but I couldn't remember for sure. It was entertaining, but nothing I would put on a list. :) Sorry for the late response.
