...is a new scarf that I started this evening. It's getting real chilly over here and I just can't deny the urge that I want to knit again. It's such a natural thing to do in the winter, to curl up on the couch, watch TV and knit! Since this is a pretty straight forward scarf so I didn't really follow any pattern except the honeycomb part, but even that is still pretty repetitive. I thought posting it in its beginning stage would motivate me to carry on and finish it. I will post it again when I am done! : )

Oh, I really like the gray yarn. I'm impressed with your pattern. The middle is honeycomb, and the outer border is a regular knit?

Kelly, the middle part is little honeycomb which repeats every 8 stiches, and 5 stiches at both edges are just seed stiches. Cast on total of 26 stiches... I did do a few rows of rib stiches at the beginning, too.

That is a cool-looking scarf! Or warm-looking, rather. ;) The honeycomb pattern looks very nice. I'm too scared to attempt any fancy knitted designs. I tried cable-knitting once, and I got too frustrated. I will stick to ribbed patterns and bobbles. ^__^
Beautiful scarf! I need to start a new project this week and a scarf is just what I need in this cold weather!
