Spring is here!

April Showers

Finally, I think spring is finally here!!! We have been getting lots of rain (I was told that we are literally about 3 weeks behind the usual seasonal schedule over here because of the unsually long hard winter this year) and I am expecting more rain coming our way. But at least it's warmer now and our trees are starting to have leaves. The plants I planted in pots last year are starting to come back to life (I thought they were dead since I didn't transplant them in the ground and I didn't water them throughout the winter). Even this one pot of sedum that I tossed in the garage with no watering has come back to life! I can't wait for it to get warmer and start planting more flowers!

IF: Fail (A.K.A. The Acrobatic Sisters)
It takes lots of hardworks and failures to be able to perform like this...
I did this during the meeting, again... Same concept as my previous blog but a little different in styling.

IF: Homage
My homage to mothers.
(I am in the mood of doing something more folk art-ish. I am trying to combine Chinese folk art with Russian nesting dolls and throw in a little bit of East European flavors into it.)

Friendship

Friendship
A quick doodle to accompany an amazing clip my friend sent me earlier. The background of the clip is like this: Several years ago a lady found a sick, malnourished lion cub in the jungle. She took the cub home and fed him and brought him up until he was too big to keep anymore. Then she made arrangements with a zoo in Colombia to take the lion. Here's a video of what happened when she went to visit him in the zoo for the first time... Click here to watch!
