San Francisco Photo Album on Flickr

San Francisco

I went to school in San Francisco and lived there for 3 whole years. To me, San Francisco is always gonna be my favorite city ever. Recently I've reconnected with some of my old buddies from school via Facebook, and everybody misses the city. That reason alone finally motivated my lazy bum to get up and load all my photos to Flickr. I would've had more photos but I lost a lot of them throughout the years. Still, there are 248 photos in the album. If you are interseted, go take a peek. :)

(Keep in mine I don't have a fancy digital camera... just so you know.)

And the family is still growing... Did more luchadors while watching TV tonight. Couldn't help it. They are too much fun to draw.

Do you love skulls? I DO!!!

Artwork by Maura Cluthe

I should have posted about this long time ago. During Christmas, my friend and artist Maura Cluthe dropped by my office and gave me one of her "partly cloudy chance of skulls" screen prints. What a surprise!!! (It's now proudly displayed in my studio! Thanks, Maura!!!) At that time, she told me that she took a screen printing lesson, but I didn't really get the name of the place she told me about until reading her blog yesterday. (BTW, I have LOTS of catching ups to do when it comes to reading blogs...) She took a lesson at the Art Incubator here in KC, and these awesome pieces of skulls are the result from that workshop. She posted two parts stories (part 1 + part2) in her blog about her experience and the process of making these skully prints. They are also available in her shop for only $25; it's a steal because they are limited editions, plus Maura went in and drew on each piece using gel pens so each one is unique and different! If you love skulls, better get over there and get a copy before they are all gone!

PS: After reading Maura's blog, I seriously want to take the silkscreen lesson at the Art Incubator too! Do any of my friends in KC want to come along?

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!!

I never knew such a yummy thing exists in this world! I always make peanut butter sandwiches, but tonight my man made one with a little twist. He used marshmallow creme instead of jelly, and it ROCKED MY WORLD! It was so good I started to dance in the kitchen! Who knows such a simple snack can bring so much joy?

(I went online and researched, and found out the sandwich has an official name: "fluffernutter". Even the name is cute!)

Happy Commercial

A new commercial from T-Mobile. (I guess they show it in England?) It made me so happy just by watching it. 400 dancers were mixed in with an unsuspected crowd in the Liverpool station during busy hours. And when the music cued, all of them suddenly started dancing. The best part is when originally confused passengers started to join the dance; it's so much fun! I wish I were there when it all happened!

Here is the making of the commercial.
